Each week, you’ll join live group sessions where our trauma-informed teachers guide you through breathwork and introspective practices. They don’t just teach techniques — they hold space for you, encourage you, and walk beside you as you explore and integrate your experiences. Alongside the live classes, you’ll receive a supportive workbook to help you reflect and track your growth, access to the full online program with guided practices and resources you can turn to whenever you need them, and a private Facebook community where you can share, connect, and be reminded that you’re not in this alone. Daily worship has been part of Balinese culture and life for thousands of years. There are 1,000's of Pura's (Hindu Temples), steeped in spirituality and ritual. Visiting these temples is an experience that may transform you to another space and time, and may provide a spiritual awakening.

Throughout the Personal Journey, you will receive support unlike you have ever received before. It is our intention that you feel heard, valued, seen, and accepted. All are welcome here. One of the hardest things for helpers and healers is allowing yourself to be supported.The Personal Journey is here to change that — offering steady, compassionate guidance so you never have to walk this path alone.

Lisa McNett

I believe healing happens when we remember who we are—beneath the roles, the stories, and the survival patterns we’ve learned to live by.

From a young age, I was trying to understand people—their pain, their patterns, their silence. I grew up in a dysfunctional and traumatic environment, and for years I believed that suffering was something only certain people carried. But life taught me otherwise. I began to see that pain doesn’t discriminate—and that deep healing is possible when we have the space, support, and presence to turn toward ourselves.

My own healing journey led me around the world and deep into the study of breathwork, yoga, bodywork, trauma recovery, and spiritual development. What I found was this: our breath holds a truth that the mind can’t always reach. When we reconnect with our body, our emotions, and our breath—we come back home to ourselves.IIn 2021, I founded One Breath Institute with my friend and co-founder, Deborah Dickey, and together we developed Introspective Breathwork® Therapy—a client-led, trauma-informed modality that helps people gently release what no longer serves and reclaim the fullness of who they are.

Hi there, I'm a former social worker turned trauma-informed breathwork teacher, somatic healing guide, and birthworker. I help sensitive souls finally choose themselves, trust their bodies—so they can live in alignment with who they really are and create a happy, healthy life.

My work supports people in breaking free from patterns rooted in generational trauma and emotional overwhelm—so they can build secure attachments and healthy relationships. Through Introspective Breathwork® Therapy, relational coaching and birthwork support, I guide embodied transformation for adults, children, and families—helping all experience emotional regulation, self-trust, and self-love.

I’m the co-founder of One Breath Institute and co-creator of The One Breath Method™—a trauma-informed, client-led breathwork certification program setting a new standard in trauma healing.

Hi, I’m Vanessa! I’m a breathwork practitioner and teacher at One Breath Institute, and this November I’ll be guiding The Personal Journey! Teaching here has been such an amazing experience for me. I’ve learned that connection with students and participants isn’t just supportive, it can be deeply healing for everyone involved.

I’ve been practicing breathwork for three years, and it’s my favorite embodiment modality. There’s something so powerful about how the breath brings us into presence, how healing it can be to realize we have the choice to act, instead of just reacting or shutting down. Alongside breathwork, I also have a background in Family Constellation, and I’m especially interested in systemic and ancestral healing, breaking patterns, and dissolving the mental cages that hold us back.

I love The Personal Journey because it’s such a complete program. It focuses on self-healing and self-resourcing, always empowering participants to trust themselves and their process. I’m really excited to guide this next group and to support you in taking your next step in healing.

Cancellation Policy:
It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policy before making a reservation. Naturally, no-one books with the intention of cancelling or postponing their retreat, but unexpected things happen, so please be sure to take the time to read our booking terms and conditions, including our cancellation policy.
  • Your deposit is non-refundable, at any time.

  • Cancellation 90 days prior to the first day of reservation: 25% of the total contracted amount will be forfeited. The remaining amount will be credited to another available reservation within one year of original booking.

  • Cancellation between 90 - 61 days prior to the first day of reservation: 50% of any of the contracted amount will be forfeited.

  • Cancellation between 60 - 31 days prior to the first day of reservation: 75% of any of the contracted amount will be forfeited.

  • Cancellation within 30 days of the first day of reservation: 100% of the contracted amount is forfeited in full.

All cancellations must be received in writing, sent via email or registered mail. One Breath Institute is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled trips, such as airline tickets, or for costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellation or illness. We highly recommend that you obtain travel insurance (medical and trip) with a trip cancellation policy. Please check with your travel insurance company for more detailed information (World Nomads is one option).
What happens if Bali or Indonesia’s borders close?
Let’s face it, these days we need to be prepared for anything when planning a trip. If Bali’s borders suddenly close and this prevents the retreat from occurring, your payment amount will be held in credit for you to apply in full to any future retreat date and your travel insurance should cover any travel or flight interruption costs.

    Not at all! You’ll be guided step by step, honoring your own pace.

  • When are the live classes?
    Thursdays 6-8pm Eastern Time, in Zoom, for 12 weeks (taking break on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day).

  • What if I miss a class?
    Every session is recorded, and you’ll have replays to watch anytime.

  • How many people will be in my group?
    We keep our cohorts small — no more than 18 participants, with two teachers.
